Story and Characters for this Spooktacular Halloween Murder Mystery Game
All-Spooks Mountain is the home of Halloween in America. It's also the home of the mega-rich, mega-powerful and mega-unpopular von Reaper family.
Then the most unpopular von Reaper of all - the hated Grim von Reaper - reluctantly attends a Halloween party. And - grave news! - a killer puts poison into a strange Secret Cauldron present. Grim meets the real Grim Reaper as accusations fly and secrets are unearthed.
Who was the dastardly Grim blackmailing and who was he trying to destroy?
- Was it the famous and flamboyant Italian pop stars who run the "favoloso" Cobwebs and Cauldrons hotel?
- Or the warring hippie and New Age Clairvoyants?
- Or the best-selling author who claims to be not at all creepy?
Surely not!
But what did the drone footage show? And who was Grim scheming to kill?
His "distraught" widow claims she's too upset to love another.
His jilted ex-fiancé claims to be better off with her new love.
His aristocratic and snooty relatives claim that von Reapers would never stoop to murder.
And the loud and brash Australian private detectives insist that someone in the room is guilty.
Everyone is a suspect in this fun Halloween-themed murder mystery set in modern-day America. Dress as your favorite Halloween character - a vampire, a witch, a ghost or a demon - and try to spot the real clues amid the spooky red herrings.

Lynne Tasker (verified owner) –
We bought this to take away on a holiday. We all received our characters before travelling and brought a costume for the night. We set a table up with nibbles and platters and Halloween themed decorations and met for drinks in character before we sat down. Everyone felt comfortable due to the script and it was the best fun! It was great that even the mudererer didn’t know who they were so everyone felt part of the evening. We loved it so much we bought another for my sister’s birthday and did it the following week. The only criticism was the same type of character was the murderer again and we had given it to the same person as they had done great at it the first time. Not sure if this is the case in every game.
Note from Maple Mystery Games: the similarity between the killers in the two games was pure chance! We most definitely have a variety of different types of murderers, motives and opportunities etc throughout the games.
