We bought this as a group for a lockdown zoom call and we had so much fun! The game was really easy to follow, but lasted a couple of hours. We had a great evening getting dressed up. It worked really well virtually too!

Arranged this groovy Murder/Mystery for 14 friends & family last night. It was absolutely FAB, BABY! Despite the large number of participants, the story worked really well….The instructions were clear & pretty straightforward. Once we’d all got into the swing of it, everyone had a great evening.
My only, slight, criticism is that the 2, non-essential characters didn’t seem to have much involvement. Perhaps they could have been given more formal ‘lines’ in the script to encourage their participation. That said, the people taking these roles were not complaining!
I will DEFINITELY recommend this to others & look forward to trying another plot in the, not-too-distant, future.
Thank you!
Note from Maple Mystery Games: since the lady bought this mystery, we have changed the roles of the two optional characters to give them more involvement (they now have small motives and opportunities, have a clue to read and are included in the list of speakers in light grey italics).

We normally do a murder mystery on a New Year’s Eve, but we are rubbish at them so due to lockdown we decided to give it a go via virtual party app. It was absolutely brilliant. Even if people got distracted using the available filters!!! So easy to print off or email to relevant people. Definitely will use them again.

The sixties murder mystery game was fun played on Zoom. We soon got used to the fact we weren’t all in the same room. The game comes with a comprehensive set of files, they’ve thought of everything you could possibly need. I sent the pre party booklets, party booklets and evidence to individuals a week beforehand on WhatsApp. We got dressed up using things we could find around the house. Most people followed the party Booklet (script) on a second device on the night, a couple printed them out. It was a good laugh. We got a bit mixed up at times but it was all part of the fun. Playing this game was a good distraction during lockdown.
Ruby Fothergill –
Amazing party game for a zoom party. Each character got involved and there is plenty of information for people really to get into action. Great for all ages. Our game ranged from 13-73. 10/10 would recommend!

Great fun. We did virtual on Zoom for my wife’s 50th birthday party. Was much easier than I expected. Group still talking about this a week later—playing their characters. Jan was great and answered my questions promptly! We will try another mystery next year!

This was an excellent way to bring the family together virtually. The dressing up instructions were clear giving everyone a chance to find something appropriate in their cupboards despite the lockdown. The script itself was easy to follow although sometimes the optional interjections did throw us and meant the characters skipped lines. I would have preferred an even simpler script and a clearer order so every character knows their cue. Familiarity with Zoom and the appropriate use of Mute would also make the action easier to follow. We had the maximum of 14 people and at times it was noisy. Overall though a great way to encourage a get-together.
Note from Maple Mystery Games – since the gentleman bought this mystery, we have produced a Tip Sheet for Virtual Games that deals with the importance of muting the microphone and suggests using our Optional Initial “Mingling” as a trial run for learning Zoom etc. We have also changed the Party Booklets so that the optional characters are shown in light grey italics rather than having to chime-in for every speech; parties can therefore choose whether to stick to just having the essential speakers or whether to allow additional chime-ins and ad-libs for spontaneity.

This was so fun! We were a bit worried it would be too confusing doing it virtually, but it was so easy! Definitely worth the money and would do another one. Was certainly a good way to involve everyone and waste some quarantine time. 10/10.

Bought this to host a virtual murder mystery evening with my family on the 25th April and chose the 12-14 player pack. Everyone agreed this was by far the most fun they’d had during lockdown and was great to find something that all ages could get involved with. Was lovely to transport back to the sixties and was so chuffed with how much everyone got involved. Was very easy to set up and organise and would love to try many more evenings like this. Have already recommended to other friends and family to give it a go!

Week 6 locked down in Covid-19 stay at home orders, my teammates and I were probably closer to a murder of our own rather than not, so we decided to solve a murder instead. Less jail time that way. We played the 6-8 player online version and it was so easy to set-up, we pulled this off with only a couple of hours, and we still had a great time! The kit was logically laid out so everything was easy to find, and it comes with copious hosting suggestions which provided wonderful additions to the experience. The characters were fun, the mystery was real, and not everyone guessed who the murderer was at the end. It was great that there was opportunity to not just guess the murderer but to state WHY you guessed the murderer- extra sleuthy points there. I’d recommend this to anyone, even last-minute people like us who really didn’t have much, or even any (?) experiences in murder mysteries.
