Murder Mysteries - Games for 6-8 Players

Ideal Fun for Small Dinner Parties

Games by Number of Players:

A few small dinner parties featuring our games

Our 6-8 player murder mystery games are ideal for smaller dinner parties. They need a minimum of 6 people to run but the two optional characters mean that it is easy to extend this to 7 or 8 people if required.

Important note: the two optional characters are fully integrated and are also suspects. (In mysteries where there are two killers, an optional character can be one of the murderers!) However, if you have 8 people who all want a large role, then it is best to buy the 8-10 person version.

All of our games are instantly downloadable and use our unique semi-flexible scripted format. They are ideal to play for face-to-face dinners but also run well virtually (on Zoom etc) as all guests can join the same video call for the main part of the party.

FAQs

Will My Guests Run Out of Things to Say as it is for a Smaller Group?

No. Unlike the mix-and-mingle format where conversation between small numbers of people could be over too quickly, our games are based upon a well-structured round format. There are six rounds (and an optional Initial Mingling and Whodunnit round). Your guests (and yourself) are given suggested dialogue prompts each step of the way. As such, the murdering mystery will expand to fill the evening no matter how many people are playing.

How Long Do Games Take To Run?

A mystery involving 6-8 people takes approximately 1.75 - 2.5+ hours to run; food, chatting breaks and the (optional) Initial Mingling are on top of this. Our mysteries therefore easily slot around a dinner party or a buffet and become the focal point of the evening. No additional games or filler activities are required - although they might be fun at the end of the evening.
