Murder Mysteries - Games for 8-10 Players

Perfect for Larger Dinner Parties

Games by Number of Players:

Some larger dinner parties
Some games run with between 8-10 people

Our 8-10 player murder mystery games are great fun for larger dinner parties or smaller parties. They need a minimum of 8 persons to run but the two optional characters mean that this can easily be extended to 9 or 10 people.

Important note: the optional characters are fully integrated with motives, opportunities and suggested dialogue. If you have 10 people who all want to play a major role, however, then it is best to buy the 10-12 person version.

A party involving 8-10 people takes approximately 2 - 2.75+ hours to run. The optional Initial Mingling is in addition to this; breaks for food, chatting and laughing are also in addition.

The games are available for instant download and use our unique semi-flexible script format. They are perfect to play face-to-face but also run very well on virtual apps such as Zoom as all guests can join the same video call for the main part of the party.

A Customer Review

Katherine Wells-Bond's "Murder in the Swinging Sixties" party held over Zoom

"An excellent evening had by all! We played the 8-10 version and loved it. It was easy to organise, just pinged across a few emails a couple of days before to each guest. It was well written and it was great to have a script to follow, but could ad-lib if you fancied.
It was so great to have something to look forward too in the middle of lockdown 3. Everyone was talking about it all week in the run-up, discussing costumes, getting into their characters, Drake even wrote two songs! Highly recommend."

FAQs

Are Smaller Mystery Parties As Fun as Larger Ones?

Yes, most definitely! As our games all have a structured round-based format, and as players all have suggested dialogue for all parts of the party, the murder mystery will expand to fill the evening no matter how many people are playing.

Does the 8-10 Person Version Follow the Same Plot as the Smaller Version?

The plot line is very similar but the extra two characters mean that we have the space to develop an idea (or two) in slightly greater depth than the smaller version permits.

Do Optional Characters Add to the Running Time?

Yes. As a general rule, each optional character could add approximately 10-15 minutes to the running time.

More Guests Want to Come - or Someone Has Dropped Out. Can I Change to a Larger or Smaller Version?

We offer a 40% discount for different versions of the SAME game.
