Boonie ran our Pirates Plunder and Murder game. Bonnie says:

"We had a blast! So much fun decorating and d.i.y.ing stuff. Coming up with food ideas. Getting costumes. Everyone loved the game. We all loved the writing. It was fun and funny! We had lots of laughs. I can’t say enough about the creative language and banter between characters."

Bonnie's Superb Decorations

Ray created a wonderful hand-drawn treasure map tablecloth; Bonnie and Ray added authentic goblets, candles and palm leaf plates and cutlery. Instead of napkins, they had the funny idea of using a sleeve from an old shirt - with a "wipe yer mouth on yer sleeve" idea!

Bonnie made a treasure chest from recycled styrofoam sheets, painted it, filled it with trinkets and cups and then created a "treasure corner" with other period materials and jewelry:

Bonnie used styrofoam to create a plank and then painted it; she added fun handcuffs to get guests to walk the plank:

Bonnie also used styrofoam to create a "Poop Deck" sign and as the backing for the crate labels and posters supplied with the game's decoration pack. Note the creepy cloth hanging from the light fittings like cobwebs!

Bonnie also used oddments of cloth as sails and had the innovative idea of creating the mast for a pirate sail out of rolled up and painted newspaper. Note the creepy chains!

The Way That Bonnie Runs Our Murder Mysteries:

"I greet everyone in character. We have our appetisers and mingle before the first round. We play 2-3 rounds together; sometimes we have dinner and dessert back-to-back. Then after the Whodunnit round, we all take time and reason through who it might be, reread clues, and write down our guesses, talk it over. That's a fun part: getting accused or accusing someone. Then we listen to the final audio. Then we vote on who gets what award, hand them out and do our fun pictures."
