These rad costume ideas are ideal for our Nineties murder mystery game.

For this murder mystery, it is easy to adapt items in your wardrobe, so you may not need to buy a new outfit. Some players use wardrobe items and then simply splash out on a 1990s wig, 90s-style sunglasses, or accessories such as a hair scrunchie or bucket hat.

And don't forget hair styles, makeup, and nail varnish are an easy and fun way to give a feel of the 90s. Bling is rad, dude.

1 Costume Ideas for the Major Characters in our 90s Mystery

Most costumes can be sourced from your own wardrobe with just a few minimal accessories for fun. Or go to town; the choice is yours, dude.

1.1 Scarlet Mopper

Mix a dog collar and token black for a wake with trendy 1990s styles such as coloured jeans, striped sweater, leather or letterman jacket; or chinos and a velvet blazer. Alternatively, opt for a black suit and black or colored shirt. 2 Women's Hairstyles, Jewellery and Nails

One of the easiest ways to add a 90s feel to your outfit is to choose from one of the hairstyles popular during the decade. You can seek inspiration in TV series such as "Friends", films such as "There's Something About Mary" and bands such as The Spice Girls. Try:

Then accessorize with some 1990s hair accessories such as a scrunchie, butterfly clip, claw clip, artificial daisy, bandana, hair scarf or cloth headband.

Other accessories include large hoop earrings, chokers, layered necklaces, slap bracelets, bracelet stacks, mood rings, anklets and 90s-style sunglasses. Bling is rad!

And don't forget to paint your nails with bright neon shades. Or even try jelly nails.
