This looks a really fab party based upon our Murder in the Swinging Sixties game. Carol ran this party with a group of 12 ladies.
Carol says; "We so enjoyed our Swinging 60’s murder mystery. The audio intro and solution added a level of authenticity which we enjoyed. We appreciated having a script to act from. It helped those of us who are less confident in our improv to relax and enjoy the evening.
Three out of 12 guessed the murderer.
Hope to participate again next year!"
Fab and Groovy Costumes
All the ladies dressed in groovy 60s costumes. We especially love Drake's fake mustache and hip outfit.
Groovy Table Decor
Carol used a groovy tie-dye curtain as the backdrop; then added a party feel with disco lighting and fairy lights.
She used a shawl as a hip tablecloth and then made good use of the game's printouts for the menu cards, place setting holders, record inserts, bottle labels and extra printouts. The costume jewellery also added to the decor:
She also added more printouts to the fab tie-dye curtains:
60s Food and Drink
The menu was:
Cheese Fondue: Meatballs & Bread Cubes (We had a vintage fondue pot)
Molded Strawberry Jello Salad
Slow-cooked Chicken A la King
Punch and Virgin Cocktails
Veggie Platter
Appetizer Kabobs
Glazed Lemon Chiffon Cake
Carol's verdict was: "we have decided that the food was a distraction from the game. In fact, we really didn’t eat much. Next time, we will do snacks so we can concentrate more on the story line".
A couple more photos of the ladies:
Carol's verdict: "So much fun! It did take some time to print everything but I appreciated all the extra touches.
Once we got the hang of the script, it went smoothly.
Our group did a murder mystery last year that was more ad lib. We all agreed we liked having our lines written for us."
